just to prove that not all of them are nasty people which sometimes is the perception

we had a visit from our landlady a few days ago to look at some work she had done on the conservatory roof ,she was a very amiable lady who has given us assurances that she is keeping the let long term which is a relief and also that she is going to have more work done to upkeep the property
she was very happy with the way we had looked after the property (we always said we would care for it as if it were our own property) she left saying any problems and she would endevour to put them right ASAP and then gave us a M&S voucher for a fair amount for overseeing the putting in of the new boiler.
It gave us both a new perspective on our landlady

good to hear. In my experience the better ones are the people with one or two properties rather than the ones who own hundereds.
