Oscar Garcia is on his way to Brighton today – but what about his background?
In The Argus today, Andy Naylor gets some expert analysis from Israel, where the Catalan coach recently led Maccabi Tel Aviv to the title.
But Oscar’s home is Barcelona – so feast your eyes on this small selection of*highlights.
First we present two fabulous strikes for Barcelona against Celta in Vigo in 1997. They are the first two goals of the game – but will we be seeing that celebratory jig in the technical area over here?

Below, Oscar gets the first goal of a 3-1 win over a Zaragoza side including Gus Poyet although, being honest, this game was really the Ivan de la Pena show. It's worth sticking with the clip for the final goal.

You only need to watch the first few seconds of this footage from a 2-2 draw at Bayern in 1996. Barcelona are in green and Oscar (No.9) plays a slick one-two with Jose Maria Bakero before finishing in style.

Will Oscar Garcia’s welcome be anything like this he received when he arrived in Tel Aviv to take charge of Maccabi? And, if so,*who's going to give him the flowers?
