Chesswood Road, Worthing... VIP arrival imminent ?

At the risk of being accused of a Hove Bald & Unread look at me post, just driven along Chesswood Road and there were No Parking restriction signs up all along from Davisons to the Park entrance. The signs stated closure for 2 hours for Street Cleaning ?

Well, I have never seen so many cleaners beavering about down one stretch of road in my life, quite apart from litter pickers and sweepers there were even several employees with leaf blowers blowing dust off the pavements in to the road. There must have been close to a dozen Adur and Worthing cleaning trucks along it's length. Total manpower must have been about 40 people.

So, what's happening ? Chesswood Road is not that dirty ? and does not need a D-Day type blitz.
