Not a willy-waving contest, as I'm fully aware they currently have bragging rights, but a genuine question.

Is it the worst ground to host a Prem team in the Prem era? 1993-now.

Swindon, Oldham, Watford, Burnley, Blackpool, Portsmouth, all worse.

Seriously, why so bitter??

I would go with Blackpool, if I am honest. At the start of the Premier League (or Premiership as it was), most of the grounds were pretty shocking compared to nowadays (Stamford Bridage, anyone?). The standard has increased across the board in this time.

The reason I suggest Blackpool is not because it was the worst ever, but is was was worst in comparison to the average standard across the league at that time.

The fact that there is quite clearly far worse, as shown by most of the replies on this thread, suggests otherwise.

It's certainly in the top 10 worst. Just wanted to see where it ranked.

agreed serioulsy rubbish thread - i would be happy playing at the withdean if we were in the prem and 120 million quid.

I stated very clearly in the OP that Palace have the bragging rights at this moment in time, so clearly NOT a dig, a genuine question.

Didn't get to play in the premiership by a season or 2 but shirley Kenilworth road has to be up there.
