You'd never get away with that in English football.

He would have looked a right idiot if that was saved!

Would have laughed if he had brushed the top of it when passing his foot over.

Given the rules quoted in that article I'm not sure if there's anything wrong with it? Would you consider it unsporting?

Should've been disallowed, surely.
Exactly. Can't do that with a penalty otherwise everyone would be dummying the keeper! Pity the first player in a competition match that tries it.

Not really that outrageous!

I've seen better in Sunday league. However still a trickey thing to do and get right.

Should've been disallowed, surely.

Why? He looked as if he was going to kick it one way and then kicked it the other. Surely sending the keeper the wrong way is a good trait to have as a penalty taker? It's a bit too risky a technique to use in a real match (that was a charity game) but I can't see it breaks any laws.

I think most Premier League referees would call that unsporting behaviour, issue a yellow card, and order that the penalty is retaken. I thought there used to be rules governing 'feints' - the article says they are allowed.

I remember there being some discussion after a Spanish player staggered his run up against England in the Euro '96 quarter final shoot-out.
