I'm watching Sky Sports News too.

I wouldn't waste our budget on him. Hoskins (for some reason), CMS, Barnes and Ulloa are more than sufficient.

Depends on the £££. He'll score goals next season, but seems to only last 45 mins maximum. I don't think we could justify a big wage on a bench warmer with FFP.

don't care about the fact he played for palace - he's been a dangerous goal scoring forward for what, 15 years? think he would be very valuable as a player coming off the bench when we need a goal, and as a mentor for our younger players - would think a 1 year deal with a coaching contract (if he's interested in coaching) as an option at the end would be good business

Think the reason he hasn't signed for Palace for another year yet is because he has been commuting from the Midlands and staying in hotels and he is reluctant to relocate his family. That being the case, I doubt he's going to consider coming to the South Coast for a one year swansong. I'd imagine if he doesn't continue at Palace, he will retire.
