Sport streams to be shut?

I know there will be ways round it, but the BBC report that FirstRow will be blocked by next season. My first though was that I wouldn't get to see as much football, not that I must go out and subscribe to BT, Sky et al.

Does shutting a stream really affect their revenues that much? Surely 99% of people would shrug their shoulders or find a pub if they were *that* desperate?

there should always be ways round it.....isohunt and piratebay are still winning their game of cat and mouse in the torrent world, so surely the stream / ads dudes can just keep moving domain names and servers
