Villa have been linked with half of Norwich's team for no other reason than that Paul Lambert used to manage them and he has previously signed players from former clubs. Given the acrimonious nature of Lambert's departure from Norwich, I'd imagine they'd be highly reluctant to sell him or anybody to Villa and so this may well be lazy journalism.

Not entirely implausible, given that he hasn't always been a 100% first choice at Norwich, and he's from the West Midlands originally. You'd think Villa would offer him decent money too.

Be a bit surprised if Villa went for him, they have already signed two wingers and a striker this summer and they mainly played 4-3-3 last season anyway.

Still, if they find anyone willing to sign N'Zogbia, Ireland and Bent or if one of their young attackers leaves then I guess they could do with another.

Doubt Villa would offer him much more than he is currently on and he wouldn't be first choice there either.
