Kinnear In, Llambias Out - Pardew Out, Gus In?...

Newcastle are a train wreck of a club. Pardew had a shocking season last time but micro-managing him by putting Joe Kinnear in charge of transfers is ludicrous. Last year they give Pardew an 8 year contract and also Graham Carr their head of scouting, yet bringing in Kinnear marginalises both of their positions. If the club thought they were good enough to be awarded a long term contract last year, they should stick to their guns rather than rip everything up and entrust such an important role to a man with a serious heart condition and who has questionable qualifications for carrying out the job.

There is never any continuity with Newcastle, they tend to kneejerk at the first sign of trouble and that could result in them getting embroiled in a relegation battle this coming season, albeit they will probably be saved by the amount of other poor teams in the bottom half of the Premier League.

Surely Kinnear has been thrown in to do a job on Llambias and Pardew? Lambeeze has already had enough... can't see Pardew lasting much more than a week. Once that happens, Kinnear will be paid to do nothing for a few months and then leave on doctors orders or some other excuse.

I could see Gus and Tanno going to Newcastle definitely. If they're cheap enough and are happy to work without a huge transfer budget then they could well be in the frame.

Hah! Not the Gus we know and love!
