I know he's not everyone's cup of tea, and I find his stand up a bit one dimensional, but in situatiuons like this where he's interacting with other people I think he is absolute genius.

Sadly he was at his best on his old XFM show, and he seems determined to be a big name actor which just doesn't suit him. As you say, he's at his best in slightly odd situations when being off the cuff, he's incredibly witty.
