Gus Poyet faces a disciplinary hearing with club officials today
ALBION boss Gus Poyet’s suspension saga is moving towards a conclusion, with the Seagulls about to find out who they will face in their second match of next season.
Poyet, as revealed in Saturday’s Argus, faces a disciplinary hearing with club officials today after a four-week investigation into alleged multiple breaches of contract by the Uruguayan.
Poyet has been on holiday in Spain since playing in a legends event for Chelsea old boys in Barbados but appeared on the BBC at their Salford studios near Manchester last night as a pundit for Uruguay’s Confederations Cup clash with Spain.
It is unclear when a final decision will be announced by the club but Poyet’s departure is expected to be confirmed by the end of the week.
While his future is being discussed, Albion will discover their first round opponents in the Capital One Cup in the week commencing August 5.
Their list of potential League One or League Two opponents include Portsmouth and former landlords Gillingham.
