I think in the UK you will still need a prescription. Its the Chemist shops that will be happy as the price will go down for them

- It will be legal for any manufacturer even large retailers like Tescos and boots to produce generic versions of sidenafil citrate.
- Only Pfizer will be able to use the brand name Viagra to market their product.
- It will be legal to buy and import generic versions of Viagra to the USA, UK and other EU countries.

That doesn't mean they can sell it without prescription - just that they can make it themselves more cheaply than Pfizer - its a prescription drug
