    From The Guardian:

Imagine living in a parallel universe. One where Premier League clubs looked at the £5.5bn global TV rights deal for 2013–16 and said: you know what, times are tough for the average supporter – let's make do with the £3.4bn, broadly the amount we made from TV in 2010-13, and use the rest to cut ticket prices. Take a guess at how much the price of every ticket would fall?

    £51.30

Instead - they just spent it on inflated wages

So some clubs would actually be PAYING you to go to games :/

An Arsenal home ticket for category A games would still cost £75 ...

A boycott from fans for one game across the entire premier league would get the message across. Obviously won't happen but imagine the press attention that would create
      Hello and thank you

      Oscar Garcia -
The fans' support today was magnificent in the face of a bad result. I am very proud to be the coach of their club.

It COULD happen if supporters want it enough. Imagine MOTD and Sky Sunday or whatever they call it without fans in the ground. Supporters would finally have the clubs attention.

And how would that affect STH who have already paid for their seat? Will those boycotting go and buy a ticket for the target match and not turn up?

The STH would not go, much the same as if you can't attend a game for whatever reason. Granted they would lose out on money but in the longer term, if it worked, they would get that money back through lower ticket prices in the future. People would not buy the tickets that are on sale. Clubs would miss out on merchandise, food and drink money and the games would be played in front of empty stands which on tele would not look too good.

It won't happen (as I stated in the original quote) but is one way of getting top flight clubs to pay attention to their fans and the concerns about ticket prices.

Or if EVERY fan decides not to purchase season tickets and other tickets until the prices drop below a certain value.
The clubs would shit themselves if nobody bought a season ticket and then no one turned up for the beginning of the season.
