I loved him last season don't get me wrong, but I'm sure that if we really wanted him we would have got him. Personally I think that we are more likely to be looking at younger prospects who will be here for the long term, so less wages and possibly a signing on fee.

I would offer Nicky Storey a short contract as a safeguard against failure to sign a player during the window, which is not unusual for us.

We will need cover so I suppose what you suggested would be a good idea. I haven't seen him play before, is he any good?

He has a lot of experience playing for Reading West Brom and Forest so is no slouch and i would prefer him to Ian Harte

Bridge was outstanding last season but given a choice of signing one of him or Upson it would be Upson all day long. As others have said ian Harte or Shorey would be excellent replacements
