1978 luton away went on the SS train got chatting to him and told him we could not get to Newcastle away as all 3 SS trains sold out.He then came back to our group and sorted us out with handwritten tickets in the Guards van...Topman

Tony McCleod. Died about ten years ago. A lovely man and along with Ron Pavey was one of the real stalwarts of the 1970s Goldstone era.

Legend, what would he make of the current goings on?

He would dismiss them as a minor issue, a storm in a teacup and part of the ups and downs of a football club. He'd be FAR more worried about the state of the buffet car. (Not that we've got buffet cars any more of course. Or Seagull Special trains)

I think he lived around the St Andrews road area in Worthing. Always bollocking us on the trains when we were young. Alright guy though.
