One could argue that a good Top ten in the Championship and runs in the cups would equate to success and be much more enjoyable than a failed season in the premiership, getting battered every week? In order to establish a team in the premiership, you have probably got to do a bit of a yo-yo unless you have a really major financial backer. Could we do a Norwich, Swansea or Southampton though and go up and stay up?

In the next couple of weeks, we might get a new manager and then make some signings. IF a vacancy becomes available for manager, there will be a long list of very good candidates knocking at our door, all of whom will be capable of bringing in top players. Players with ambition or looking for a positive end to their career will be very interested in what Brighton has to offer both as a club and a fantastic area to live.

In September, most seasoned NSC commentators will tell us we are still two or three players short but we WILL be there or thereabouts at the end of the season.

I remain totally grateful to TB and have great confidence in PB to built a financially stable and viable platform from which to springboard on to great things. They will make the right managerial decision who will then sign some good players but also nurture and develop some of the great talent we have ignored for the last three years in the Development Squad.

My glass is not half full, it is virtually full and with Harvey's, not just any old rubbish.

Do you want doom and despondency or the excitement of a positive season ahead where we may reach new heights? What do you really want?
