A friend of the family is an actor and also a friend of Anne Kirkbride (Deirdre) and whenever she is over in this country filming Corrie (she lives in Spain) he goes out to dinner with her and did this recently. At dinner she told him she is now bored with Corrie and her story lines so is going to ask to be written out either for a given time or permanently, so perhaps, if he is found guilty, they will move away for whatever reason, as Mavis did some years ago. The papers are saying the new producer wants to give her an extended contract so we shall just have to wait and see.
