Blackpool had Wonga, but yeah something wrong with a football club being sponsored by a company that prays on the poor.

Just my own veiw, don't like the idea of a company like this or a 'bookie's as a team shirt sponsor. Maybe i am wrong?
I can't see a problem with a bookie sponsor, but Wonga and quickquid are scummy companies, and like hearing of horrific crimes on the news, seeing their name on a shirt is reminder of all that's bad in the world.

 If someone didn't bet then we'd still be playing at the Withdean.

Can you explain that please? Surely you don't think Mr Bloom earned his fortune by gambling.

We are sponsored by a credit card company. Whilst obviously having the lower interest rates, offering payment protection and other membership benefits etc. Do a lot of people not use credit cards on the same principle as payday loans? Spending money that they don't currently have then paying it off at a later date. How does having American Express as a sponsor sit with those who don't like the payday loans companies sponsoring football?

Here, there and everywhere
Leighton Orient used to be sponsored by a casino company. After complaints that it wasn't very family-friendly, they changed it - and are now sponsored by Fifa 13.Now shirt sales have rocketed and it's the first thing the kids notice at the match.
