According to The Scotsman:
Brighton midfielder Liam Bridcutt is also in doubt because of a knock and is rated just 50-50 by Scotland staff. According to one source in the camp, the 24-year-old is keen to play if at all possible and will be given every chance to prove his fitness.

If he's 50/50 at the mo, I would hazard a guess he'll be fit for three months time when the season starts.
Lets be fair, so did almost every other member of the team.
Maybe he has been thinking that if he follows Gussie to Spurs he may get an England shout, and any tartan blemishment would scupper that avenue of pleasure and trophies, and so pulled a sickie.
