Councillor Graham Cox silences clanging manhole lid in Hove
A “clanging” manhole cover has been repaired.
Brighton and Hove city councillor Graham Cox called for action to the loose metal cover in Sackville Road, Hove, after complaints from locals.
Coun Cox, has confirmed that it has now been repaired.
Thanking the council’s highways team, Coun Cox said: “After much head scratching and confusion it turned out the manhole was the responsibility of Virgin Media.
“When they repaired it last week they confirmed the chamber was in good condition, so no additional work should be required on it in the future.”
