The badge should never be changed in my opinion. It should be the bedrock of the clubs identity. Have VW,Audi for example ever thought the need to change? So now you have shirt sponsers/designs and logo's changing all to screw fans of more money

I'm pretty certain that VW no longer incorporate a swastika in their logo.

The problem with that is that the original club badge ( the two Crests of Brighton and Hove ) weren't the property of the club, nor were they subject to copyright, and they therefore could be used by anybody to flog unofficial merchandise.
