Haven't seen this posted on here before. It's notable for many, many reasons, but I'll summarise mine here:

- A 30,000 crowd at the Goldstone
- Jimmy Hill's commentary debut ("All the Brighton players look the same")
- Appalling production from ITV
- Photographers running on the pitch to get the best view of a red card incident
- An invalid carriage in the south west corner
- Kids virtually sitting on the touchline
- A crowd invasion at the end that barely gets discussed
- A fire engine siren drowning out the final moments

Thanks for posting this. I've started watching it, but I'll have to pause and come back to it later. Looks interesting though.

Two man memories of that day were about 400 chelsea steaming down queens road and having to duck into the news agents near the william tell, the other was the biggest union jack in the ground that i have ever seen:eek:

My main memory is getting arrested for fighting with the Chelsea fans after their first goal.

Jimmy Hill called the Goldstone "Goldstone Road," which he continued to do when he moved to the BBC.

My memory fades , was this the match the night before a huge stash of petrol bombs and weapons were found in the car park at churchill square ?
