How can there be lights in the North Sea brighter than Brighton? ???

Yeah and check out Australia and Hawaii. Adelaide is back to the stone age apparently. Something a bit suspicious here. In Hawaii we do actually have lighting that's more than the occasional tiki torch. What's that about?

Maybe the satellite flew over during the day. Maybe we have a Stealth invisibility cloak.

Bush fires in Australia
There are barely any people, roads or towns in most of WA. Drove for 2 weeks there once - you wave when you see other cars! Do you think it's fires? Only other thing I can think of is mines or it's just wrong ...

Oil rigs? Pretty big, mind ... A surreptitious naval assault on Scotland?

Hawaii is very, very small relativly. same for Adelaide, and Brighton. those north sea platforms give off a lot of light , a few spaced apart will look larger due to the low resolution of the overall image.

interesting observations, comparison between North and South Korea; and what exactly is going on in North Dakota to create so much light? is that fires too, or is that where the fracking is. Siberia is similarly oddly lit up.

That would be the fracking boom around Williston ND. Its gone mental over there in the last 5 years.
