We'll see how good your chairman is with your replacement for Poyet, I'm worried for you and because I genuinely like watching you play.

I really really hope whoever it may be continues your passing ethos.

i think most brighton fans hope we keep the way we play

But hopefully with a bit more tactical awareness and ability to adapt to the needs of a given match.

Pork pie land.
We want WINNING football not FAFFING about shite

This. Much rather lose a few as long as we win even more. Draws should only be there because you fail to win, or manage to hold-out against a loss. NOT the intention in the first place. Two wins and a loss gives six points. Three draws are boring and only give three points.

Thank you Mr Swan. I enjoy watching Swansea and hope you keep Laudrup/Michu. Good luck against Cardiff next season, please ignore ernest/pork pie they aren't real people just computer generated embarrassments.

I'm sure we will.

When we get the new man, I think all the remaining Poyet fans will see just how good this squad is, and just how inept Poyet was tactically.

Yes of course, we're really good at passing it across the back four, passing from our goalkeeper to the centre back or full back, but rubbish at passing it to a striker who can actually score. Since the arrival of Leo our tactics have changed to giving it to a winger to cross for Leo. More media labels, Brightons passing game, easily thwarted by smart opposition managers and teams with fitness levels above ours, not difficult. In fact there are more teams in the championship that have worked us out than not. The Brighton passing game has had its time. Lets all move on!

Thanks for your concern Mr swan, like others have said we all want to keep the passing style but with a bit more attacking and tactical awareness like you guys. I think our Tony B will now have the taste for the passing style and will appoint likewise.
Mr Di Matteo please :)

Sorry, how exactly did we come fourth if most teams "have worked us out". Surely we would be bottom half and fighting relegation.

Reckon your right on the money there, Poyet seemd to think that this style of play was somewhat revolutionary and when after the summer pre season tour last year he announced that we had another way of playing he mean't we could play the long ball. Somewhat simplistic as his basic philosophy. With better strategy we could have had automatic promotion this year, squandered the talent we had to follow a simplistic ideal way of playing, pretty but ineffective. CMS has spent two years at the Amex where his talents and ability have been wasted, roll on the new manager, we want a true professional to take us up.

I have said this before on here but at a recent supporters meeting I asked Barber this very question. And the answer was a definite yes we will continue with the same style. Our new academy is set up from the youngest age group playing passing/possession football so it's here to stay.

19 but it's not relevant. Surely if all these teams had worked us out, we would have lost a lot more than 9 games. You didn't answer my point as I'm generally intrigued how we managed to finish 4th when we had been worked out by everyone.

Its totally relevant, we have to win to go anywhere, we finished fourth maybe 18 points above the drop zone. If you had gone to Bristol where we played the bottom team, who eventually got relegated, and saw the pathetic display there with only one feeble attempt on goal you would understand how our strategy under this manager was so flawed. I love to see us move the ball around with our passing game, but my grandmother goes to the shops and back quicker than we move the ball from one end of the pitch to the other. A £6m + front line, two ex England defenders in defence and a sprinkling of Spanniards, we had the assets to achieve much more than we did and the chairman knows it. I do ot want to see more of the same next reason, otherwise why change the manager?
