At the same time I could pick someone like Puyol who has won the world cup, European cup, and three champions leagues.

Does the fact that Chelsea won a competition they gained entry for by exiting the champions league mean that Torres is better in any way? Is winning an FA cup and an FA trophy better than winning three FA cups?

Anelka has a list that will never be beaten imo.

I believe he has winners medals, Euros France, Double in Spain (Real Madrid) Double in England (Arsenal and Chelsea) Double in France (PSG) . Champions League Real Madrid. I think he got an FA Cup winners with LFC, League winners medal Fenerbahce. I think he got a winners medal for France U18's and possibly a Euros as well.

Yet Torres is a truly terrible allround footballer. I reckon he hits one successful pass out of every 25. A goalscorer for underdogs certainly, but he has the same touch as CMS.
