I know nsc has discussed this before. But we must have pretty light weight supporters if commentators are mentioning it

I've seen supposedly "hardcore" fans of other teams do this dozens of times, in fact I have vivid memories of Millwall completely depopulating an away stand a few years ago.

Same ones around me who have been sloping off all season.

Don't normally care but you'd hope they could spare a few extra minutes for a play-off game and to clap the players off at the end of a great season.

Ok, let's get this into perspective.
If the ground was not full to the rafters, then people leaving would not be so noticeable would it.
I watch the Football League Show and see grounds in the Championship that have ends and sides of the ground with no fans whatsoever.
Brighton have the highest attendance in the Championship and are in 10th place overall including the Premiership.
If fans leave early, for whatever reason, then it is more noticeable, if the crowds were smaller then more probably would not leave because their journey home would be easier and quicker.
Me, i stay until the end, but i'd rather have the big crowd, with some leaving early, than a half empty stadium throughout the whole game.
Great crowd in a great stadium.

We got beat 2-0 by our biggest rivals in a very important game, are they realy suprised many did not want to have to endure watching and listening to the away end rubbing our noses in it?

We gave tremondous backing to the team tonight maybe they should be concentrating on the tactics and attitute on the pitch.

Probably the part of tonight that I care about the least.

Just want next season to start now, so we can put this behind us.

Agree with this. Not a problem for me hence the reason I type this pissed. May have considered leaving a touch earlier if I was working tomorrow. Shit happens & it did tonight

These are very good points that people seem to forget about. So many stadiums are half empty for their games, it looks bloody awful.

Give me what we have over that any day.

I am working today and I stayed and clapped all the players off the pitch - arrived home in seaford 23.45 (a load of us making our way to the train were made to wait to one side while the palarse were escorted to the 'palace special') so I do understand why many left early - it wasn't in disgust, they just need to get home at a sensible time anand for a Monday evening there were lots of youngsters at the match too

I left on 88 mins because our team was an embarrassment! Diabolical performance - They let themselves down...

given i spent more time queing for trains than watching a decent performance, i wish i'd ducked out of most the second half too.

Don't understand why any fan of a club would leave early when it's the last game of the season without clapping your team off, the fans that left early are only adding fuel to people who say we have a lot of 'plastics' nowadays and frankly they have a point.

Stayed to the end, but there was only a few players I could bring myself to clap. So much half-arsed attitude by some of them was the reason we lost, not chasing anything, giving Palace too much space etc.

This, it was an absolute joke how they organised the post match lewes train queues, by a very long way the worst bit of organisation for any Amex home match so far. Totally clueless.
