Calde Dave and Ulloa had off days - that was the difference. In fact the game was lost when Calde dived in for his yellow. A braver Gus may have taken him off at HT.

Pig 6 - Fumbled once but it didn't matter
Calde 6 - Brilliant first half, yellow card ruined him
Upson 6 - Played okay
Greer 4 - Strengthed by Zaha for 2nd goal
Bridge 5 - Mistake for first goal
Hammond 7 - Played alright, did well tracking back a lot
Bridders 6 - Misplaced a few passes
Buckers 8 - Our MOTM, played really well
Orlandi 4 - Did nothing IMO
Spanish Dave 4 - Same as Orlandi
Ulloa 4 - Same as two above


LuaLua 4 - Didn't do any thing good, just stood there when he could of challenged speroni
Barnes 6 - Did alright

PIG: 7 - Didn't have much to do against a (goals aside) toothless Palace frontline. Didn't have a chance with the goals though.
Calderon: 6 - Thought the yellow was harsh but it was a case of deja-vu.
Upson: 6 - Not his greatest night but looked solid until the end, when the entire team imploded.
Greer: 6 - As Upson
Bridge: 6 - Did very well until the goal - gave little away and good going forward. Just switched off for the goal and it cost us.
Hammond: 7 - solid and dependable. Happy if he comes to us permanently.
Bridcutt: 6 - Great first half, but awry a bit in the 2nd - struggled to impose himself in the midfield when others were losing their heads.
Buckley: 6 - As on Friday - looked v lively early on but faded in the second half.
Orlandi: 5 - wasted on the left.
Spanish Dave: 6 - good dead balls but his touch was off.
Ulloa: 5 - had little service and looked anonymous for much.

LuaLua: 6 - tried, but nothing came off. Tracked back well once or twice.
Barnes: 6 - looked sharp coming on, if only he had converted one of those chances. He seemed to *want* it more.

By that i meant that to me, he's more effective in a central role than on the flank. He doesn't seem to have the level of pace to beat the man and cross like Dave, Kaz or Buckley.

Also, Ulloa had service? Can't remember one clean-cut opportunity he had tonight - he was well shackled. You can't make a CMS comparison, that's just idiotic.

Pig -7- couldn't have done much about the goals
Calde -4- stupid booking when he had acres and didn't get tight enough on cross for goal
Greer -6- looked composed
Upson -7- great positioning will be a shame not to have him next year
Bridge -5- at fault for goal. Didnt get forward at all
Bridcutt -6- has such high standards but tonight was poor
Dave -5- what exactly does he do??? Poor set piece delivery tonight
Hammond -5- he's back to saints now yeah ???
Buckley -5- didnt look dangerous all evening
Orlandi -5- don't think he's as effective in wide position
Ulloa -4- anonymous. Gets his name chanted for not doing anything



Barnes -8- should have started. Gets into positions another day would have had a couple
Lua lua -5- tries too hard just get it in the biz sometimes.

Kuszczack 7. Not at his best as illustrated by the corner he gave away right at the end.
Calderon 6. Did fairly well against Zaha until the card (which I didn't think was a card offence), then needed to come off.
Greer 6. Not at his best.
Upson 6. Ditto.
Bridge 7. Not up to his usual high standards.
Bridcutt 7. Also not at his best.
Hammond 8. MOM. Couple of good shots and looked a real attacking threat. Defended well.
Lopez 4. Poor game. Crap free kicks and corners.
Orlandi 4. Poor. Too slow to play on the wing.
Buckley 5. Way below his best.
Ulloa 5. Didn't happen for him tonight.

Subs:
Barnes 7. Two very good chances soon after he came on, but then faded.
Lua Lua 6. Nothing special tonight and as mentioned just stood there when he should have been challenging a Palace player.

Gus 5. Too defensive. Should have started with Barnes and Lua Lua and gone for an early goal or two.

I think we should have made a few changes from the first game, half the side looked tired from about the 60th minute.

I take it you are pro Buckers and against Lua Lua?? Bucker was poor he wasted all the good balls he had !
