2nd stingiest home defence, Palace 3rd fewest away goals scored. One can only feel good about this.
Having said that, while a sponging-JCL like me is well aware of the rivalry with Palace, the spectre of a defeat against the old enemy does not present the same level of anxiety that older, more established, non-JCL fans currently have.
However I can relate in a broader context as I absolutely hated when Calgary (NHL) would face off against Edmonton or more recently Vancouver in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. That was hell!
