Play-off semi-final man-of-the-match Liam Bridcutt has warned against complacency ahead of Monday night’s second leg.
Albion’s player of the year was in imperious form once again at Selhurst Park but knows the Seagulls are still a long way from Wembley.
He told seagulls.co.uk, “The job is not done until we win and we know it will be hard at our place as well.
“We just have to go into the game with the same winning mentality and see if we can score the goals, and win the game. We are looking forward to it and are ready to go again.
“It was a tough game but we always knew it would be tough to come here and play the type of football we want to play. At the end of the day it is a good result for us as most teams come here and get turned over.
“But we have held our own, done really well and now we can take it back to ours and get the result.”
The 24-year-old also paid tribute to Albion’s solid defensive display but admitted it was a sad sight to see former Seagull Glenn Murray stretchered off with suspected cruciate ligament damage.
“All the boys have worked hard throughout the season and it was an added bonus to keep a clean sheet. That is one of the key points of our game, to not concede, and if you do that you win games.
“In football you always hate to see players get injured, and even more so that it was Glenn. He is a close friend of ours and a great player so we hope he gets well soon.”
