Many old school footballers used to become publicans in their retirement. When the current Palace lot retire here are the types of boozers they might run:
Jedinak - will run a place called The Flailing Arms. Everything on the jukebox will be by Elbow.
Zaha - will run a right dive
Murray - will run a gastropub. The food will be distinctly average until two months before the lease is up when it will suddenly become brilliant. Everything will come with a twist.
Kevin Phillips - will run the classiest outfit in town but it'll only be open for 10 minutes.
and finally....
Ian "Wurzel" Holloway will run an outdated spit and sawdust hell hole full of inbred regulars. It'll only be kept going by the appearance of a terrible comedian every other Saturday,
