last night I met with my only remaining auntie who was the youngest I had 9( and two uncles who died before I was born) I had not seen her for about 45 years and the bugger is she looks and feels better than I do and she is 13 years older than me
anyway the upshot is I now find out that all of my aunties had type 2 diabetes and that loads of my cousins have a potassium deficiency, so all the things I thought might have been self inflicted were hereditary also which is quite alarming the fact that 5 of the sisters had Alzheimers although there have been no signs in the males of the family(one uncle died during the war and the other at 2 months so would not have been old enough to show signs).
so if you have family keep them close even if you don't get on to well they will all have vital info that might be very helpful as you get older
