If it goes to penalties on Monday night, who decides which end they are taken at ?

The police decided when we played Luton in the jpt, to avoid crowd trouble.. So was home end.

You toss a coin, the winning captain gets to decide their supporters end or first penalty

Are you sure?

It definitely used to be that the referee chose which end, then the coin toss decided first penalty. Of course it may have changed...

The end the penalties are taken is pre decided before the game (used to be on the toss of the coin). Now the coin toss just decides who takes them first

For the Brentford Swindon pens you could hear the ref telling the players which end they were being taken, the toss was just for who took first.

I wonder if people would still leave 5 mins early to get to the front of the train queue

No - I can't take the stress of penalties. Get it sorted in normal time!

And still is. No idea how he decides though.

If I were refereeing, I'd probably go for whichever end suited both sets of fans to keep the shoot-out as 'neutral' as possible, so the South End at the Amex.

Would be far trickier at Wembley though, where each end is definitely favourable for one team or the other.

One thing I know is that if it gets to penalties, I'm hiding in the toilets!!!!

It was bad enough against Swindon. I don't think I could go through that again.
