Worth taking a little look. Wasn't the strongest line up - esp in middle of defence - to start with and down to 10 in less the ten minutes.

29 Tomasz Kuszczak

2 Bruno Saltor
3 Gordon Greer
5 Lewis Dunk (sent off 8 minutes)
14 Inigo Calderon

4 Dean Hammond
26 Liam Bridcutt
11 Andrea Orlandi (injured and replaced at half time by Crofts)
30 Will Buckley (replaced by Dicker with 15 minutes to go)
9 Ashley Barnes

12 Craig Mackail-Smith

SUBSTITUTES
1 Peter Brezovan
7 Will Hoskins
8 Andrew Crofts
10 Stephen Dobbie
17 Ryan Harley
18 Gary Dicker
21 David Lopez

And the team who beat Palace 3-0 in March (in blue didn't play in first game)

29 Tomasz Kuszczak

14 Inigo Calderon
3 Gordon Greer
20 Matthew Upson
28 Wayne Bridge

26 Liam Bridcutt
11 Andrea Orlandi
21 David Lopez
25 Kazenga LuaLua

30 Will Buckley

19 Jose Ulloa

SUBSTITUTES
4 Dean Hammond
5 Lewis Dunk
8 Andrew Crofts
15 Rodriguez Vicente
16 Casper Ankergren
22 Marcos Painter
33 George Barker

Considerably stronger defence, very attacking midfield and in-form striker. And 11 men on the pitch for 90 minutes.

Team on Friday? Can't be as attacking, but I hope Gus doesn't just go for the clean sheet. Would expect a similar side but with KLL or Buckley being replaced by Hammond.

It is encouraging to see that. Has there been any update on Bridge?

Excellent.

Could someone do a comparison of the two Palace teams this season? I hear that Paddy McCarthy is out for them which I gather is good news for us.

Spanish Dave is the lynchpin , helping out Calde in defence and attacking wing play in equal measure.

Didn't someone who came on get taken off injured in the first game? Orlandi?

I might be getting confused though.
Elbowed by Bolasie , Orlandi struggled on for a minute or two before collapsing in the box.

Bruno will be difficult, he's out injured for the rest of the season

Orlandi hadn't come on. He was moved to left back to cover for Bruno (I think) who was moved to the middle. He then came off eventually after he had been clattered. And if I remember correctly, we moved Bridders to left back and that removed our defensive cover. No wonder our defence looked so fragile that day.

He's shit. Rather he played.

Quite incred how many of the Palace players who were formerly utter dung according to our friends from up the road have become brilliant while missing through injury. The erstwhile "shit and runs like a girl" Owen Garvan became the closest thing to Xavi Hernandez while he was out. Paddy McCarthy now ranks alongside the likes of Bobby Moore and doubtless Jonny Parr is the Norwegian Phillippe Lahm.

I was only going by what I've read on the Palace forum. They all seem to think Gabbidon and Ramage are liabilities.

Palace teams from this season:

December -

01 Speroni
02 Ward (Moritz - 54' )
27 Delaney Booked
28 Ramage
04 Parr
07 Bolasie
08 Dikgacoi Booked
10 Garvan
15 Jedinak (Moxey - 85' )
16 Zaha
17 Murray (Wilbraham - 74' )

Substitutes

34 Price
21 Moxey
33 Gabbidon
22 O'Keefe
30 Moritz
18 Wilbraham
19 Easter

March -

Crystal Palace

01 Speroni
27 Delaney
28 Ramage (Wilbraham - 68' )
03 Richards
04 Parr
07 Bolasie (K Phillips - 46' )
08 Dikgacoi Booked
15 Jedinak
20 Williams (Moritz - 46' )
16 Zaha
17 Murray

Substitutes

34 Price
21 Moxey
33 Gabbidon
06 Butterfield
30 Moritz
09 K Phillips
18 Wilbraham

Only two changes from their starting XI. Dikgacoi booked in both matches, clumsy in the tackle and plays a defensive role. If anyone's gonna get sent off for them it might well be him.
