One of the better walk throughs of the rivalry.

Decent. For once Ashton has managed to remain fairly objective. (He's rabid Palace).

For the record The Football Weekly and The Football Ramble are both Team Albion podcasts.

Good article however it is not just East Sussex that get it, we in West Sussex also grasp the concept.

In what way are they?
When discussing the playoffs, all those involved in the conversations agreed the team they'd like promoted was The Albion.

Firstly because of Gus, which was then rapidly followed by 'and they have the stadium'.

When discussing the police involvement, James Richardson was so dismissive about the possibility of Brighton fans being even a little hostile, it was funny, a great compliment, but a little embarrassing.

if we had 5,000 plus up there then they would know what it's about,i just hope 2000 fans can make themselves heard.

And that the viewers are told/under no illusion as to why we have so few fans for such a "big" game

don't really get why people don't understand our rivalry..........ipswich/norwich and cardiff/swansea are both fairly similar distances apart, and yet everyone accepts that they're rivals. For some reason ours is considered bizarred outside the two clubs

I guess some people will be confused by it from a Palace perspective, given how many London clubs there are in close proximity to them. From an Albion point of view, people always seem to think that there are loads of league clubs closer to us in distance than Palace.

The Uruguayan, who has played for both Chelsea and Tottenham in that spiky London derby, ranked the feeling of beating Palace 3-0 above anything he had experienced in football.

It's about time everyone recognised its 'the game' for palace and Brighton fans.

Especially as we're now both relatively similar sized clubs with the same ambition.

A23 derby. Friday. Game on. Seaaaaagulllls!
