Liam Bridcutt has been named the Albion Player of the Season for the second successive year after scooping the award at tonight’s Player of the Season Awards Ceremony, hosted at the Amex.
The midfielder won the poll with a huge 56 per cent of the Albion fans’ votes, as left-back Wayne Bridge finished second and Tomasz Kuszczak finished third.
Spanish midfielder David Lopez won the Goal of the Season vote for his stunning free-kick against Crystal Palace at the Amex during March, while development squad midfielder Solly March was named the Young Player of the Season.
Elsewhere, Inigo Calderon added to his Football League award last month by scooping the Community Player of the Season award and Lily Agg was named the Women’s Player of the Season.*
Dave Hylands was named the Brighton & Hove Albion Fan of the Season; look out for the full story on seagulls.co.uk tomorrow (Wednesday).
