They're both PL reerees aren't they, hopefully won't be so easily tricked by Zaha and Bolasie's play acting.

They should use the same officials in both legs.

I have heard the name Michael Oliver but cant find any details, probably looking on the wrong site. What is his record this season and the general opinion of his ability.

Looking at their records Oliver looks a pretty lenient ref.

Clattenburg has sent as many off as anybody this season in the premiership

MICHAEL OLIVER, gives a lot of home pens, not so many away pens. favours the home team. has been known to give pens for diving (swansea v arsenal last year). Youngest ref on the prem.

Oliver was the ref for us vs Arsenal, and Clattenberg officated between us and Millwall.

Also looks like Oliver has reffed 21 PL games this year, dishing out 59 bookings, 1 red and 5 penalties..

Clattenberg on the other hand has reffed 21 PL games this year, dishing out 67 bookings and 4 red cards. He has given 4 penalties.

That's a combined 9 penalties in 42 games..

That would make sense to me, but imagine the uproar if one team perceived they'd been done an injustice in the first leg - the second leg could be very tricky with the same officials.

Yeah be good that.

Oliver may well seem to be a homer. But, I imagine more home teams win penalties than away as they tend to create greater pressure being at home - nothing to do with bias.
