You know the one this season; never coming from a goal down.
It has to change some time. Against Palace, or even better at Wembley.

Bear in mind that we've never come back TO WIN from a goal down, but have come back TO DRAW many a time.
I too would prefer to have seen a few instances of the former - but it's really not as bad as the stat might suggest.

But on the flip side, we've not lost when we score first...

And if you want to make it an even better stat; we have come from behind to take a winning position (Wolves away, Brum away). It just happened that on both occasions we conceeded late equalisers.

This is the horrible stat that ensured that we only finished 4th?
Not really. Drawing against Leeds and Bolton cost us 4 points, and that would have seen us promoted. The stat is a bit misleading, it's not like we often go a goal down, and when we do it's not normally in a match we'd expect to win.

The stat is very misleading. It was used a couple of months ago as a stick to beat the team with. Yes, we could have won more games, but then we could have lost more too. Finishing 4th is an excellent achievement and throwing this stat out there as some sort of failure is meaningless. Had we finished 24th, then it would be a concern but as we didn't, it does not bother me in the slightest.

I'm caring less and less about that statistic. We concede so few goals it's clearly not disadvantaged us that much.

its not misleading, it tells something about the team and the way we play. teams will use that planning their tactics.

Before Saturday we hadn't beaten a recently relegated PL side
