Painter is consistently solid and handy in the air, reads the game very very well. Such a pity he's so slow, I bet he'd make a decent centre back.

This, thought he was very solid in the first half, his positioning was very good. I can't recall the wolves winger getting past him many times, but I may be wrong

Was he on the pitch when Huddersfield scored in our away game up there ? Admittedly it was Brez's mistake which led to the goal though.

The best thing was that their goalkeeper was incredible slow as well, so it was literally the slowest race to a ball ever!

No, he'd been substituted by then.

Both Painter & Calderon turned round our first season under Poyet. He identified the full backs as problem areas, got Paints on loan and Calde in, so that we survived to start building for the title the following season.

I wanted him to do well but he just did not have the legs.

And this year he's done the exact same thing, we'd be nowhere near where we are had we had Painter/Calde all season IMO.
