All lines through Gatwick have been shut because of reports of a Lineside fire.

Should halt the influx of Wolves fans.....as well as the thousands coming home from London.

It's nothing to do with the 'controlled explosion' they had the other day is it?

I'm just north of Gatwick and the train is crawling along. Trains are getting through, but it's slow going.

Did anybody see so much as a puff of smoke or a single fire engine? Thought not. Still, should be grateful the temperature wasn't a couple of degrees higher or they would have wheeled out the buckled rail due to extreme weather conditions bollocks excuse to cover for the same as it ever was signal failure that just seemed to coincide with the trackside fire. Wankers.

I'll pass on your comments to their MD the next time he gets on my train

Apparently it was a small fire in a piece of signalling on the track, which has caused signalling in the area to be faulty.

Something to blame Notwork Rail for again, not the train companies, got to be looked at why it caught fire.
