At the beginning of the season I had a fifty quid charity bet with a palace fan on who finishes higher up the league. We have never met but joked through the season on twitter. I had almost given up on winning the bet but after their slump I obviously have.

So what does he do when we are sure to finish above them?

He pays 50 quid to a just giving page I set up for a half marathon in October.

What a top man.

Another fine example of the brilliance of twitter and how charity > football rivalry

I bet you're glad it wasn't Glenn Murray/Seaside Eagle......you'd be waiting a long time for your 50 quid.

Actually, it's this song's lyrics that are all about Brighton & Palace.

In that case I don't want no part
I do believe that
