Just the name of the band is warning enough thanks :D I did listen to a bit of it anyway, and yes, pretty tedious stuff.

I love Fleetwood Mac, in both guises

The Chain is also the BEST piece of music used at the start of any sports programme

Buckingham Nicks with the Mac rhythm section is still just Buckingham Nicks. Not the Mac without Christine.

Can't help it 'bout the shape I'm in
I can't sing, I ain't pretty and my legs are thin
But don't ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to

According to my ears yes indeedy. Listen to anything on:

A Hard Road (with John Mayall)
Complete Blue Horizon Seasions (with Eddie Boyd)
Biggest Thing Since Colossus (with Otis Spann)
Then Play On (with Fleetwood Mac)
Boston Blues (as above)

Just as well Rory wasn't British, but like your sentiment (& i have all those albums/box set, plus the Memphis Slim lp and all 45s starting with The Peter B's)

Eels are actually playing a surprisingly decent version of that on their current tour (check it out on youTube). Ok, it's not Peter Green, but it's a damn sight closer in spirit to the original than Fleetwood Mac will ever get these days.
