Dean Hammond insists Albion want to finish with a win on Saturday
Dean*Hammond has warned Wolves that Albion are hungry to end their league campaign on a high.
The Seagulls are already in the Championship play-offs, while Wolves must win at The Amex on Saturday to stand any chance of escaping a second successive relegation.
Hammond insists there will be no let-up as Albion gear themselves up for an extended season and he aims for a promotion double after going up automatically last year with parent club Southampton.
The on-loan midfielder told The Argus: “We enjoy playing at home at the moment. It’s the last game at home of the official season so we want to end well in front of our fans.
“It’s going to be a full house and a difficult game, because Wolves have got to win to stay up, so it will be interesting.”
Albion have not lost at home in the Championship this year, an unbeaten nine-match run stretching back to their defeat by Watford at Christmas.
Continuing that sequence will set Gus Poyet’s side up for the play-offs, which Hammond believes they are capable of winning irrespective of the opposition.
He said: “We are confident playing anyone. I’ve said before, we don’t fear anyone in the league. There are a lot of good teams and whoever does eventually get in the play-offs they will be difficult games, one-off games. Once you get into them it doesn’t really matter what you have done during the season.
“We are on a good run of form. We’d like to stay unbeaten, finish the season with a win and then we will go with massive confidence.
“Whoever we play will be difficult but we fancy ourselves against anyone and when we are playing well and on top form we are a really good team.”
