It wasn't as close as it first appears, taking into account the perspective of the camera angle. Still awful for all involved.

As much as I find it morbidly fascinating. People lost their lives in that. Not something that should really be shared I don't think.

It happened on Monday. It was an American cargo 747 with an American crew.

There were military vehicles on board and they think one may have shifted. That would explain why the aircraft was at a very high nose up pitch attitude

Slow speed and the wings stalled.

Doubt there would have been much the crew could have done because of the low altitude.

God bless em

That website now says the video titled " Bagram Airfield Crash 29 APR 2013 " , is actually from 2013/02/01 ???
The video date is wrong. It happened yesterday

The plane stalled at what looks about 500 feet. Even from that height the nose was starting to come up as it hit the ground. Nasty.

Several observers on the ground reported the National Air Cargo Boeing 747-400 had just lifted off and was climbing through approximately 1200 feet when it’s nose sharply rose, the aircraft appeared to have stalled and came down erupting in a blaze.
