Apologies if fixtures:

Middle of a game, linesman pushes over player and starts kicking him.

Now you'd think that's the end for the linesman, but no, the Russian FA give the player a retrospective red card.

I wonder what the player said
The linesman said he'd been making insulting remarks about his family all game. So? If that's the case, wave your flag, have him booked / sent off, and carry on. But if an official attacks a player, surely they lose the right to speak with authority and be trusted to tell the whole truth.

Come on. If anything we need more of this behaviour.

What was number 93 from the white team trying to achieve by jumping over a team mate at pretty much head height to grab the player that had just been kicked in a strangle hold. Mental Russians.

If only the linesman had done that to Diouf

Diouf might not have been sent off, and we might not have won, and the linesman would be out of a job.

Nuff respect for Russian Linesmen. Remember Wembley, July 1966, Geoff Hurst second goal, linesman with longish shorts and thin white belt..... Those were the days.

And bad eye-sight. Happy days.
