David lets fly at Leeds
DAVID will solve a defensive crisis for Albion by deputising at right-back in Saturday's final game of the regular season at The Amex, which Wolves must win to retain a slim hope of staying up.
The former Athletic Bilbao has played there in the past and will fill in again, with fellow Spaniards Bruno and Inigo Calderon sidelined.
Bruno limped off at Leeds with another calf injury, which could rule him out of the play-offs, while replacement Inigo Calderon serves a one-match ban for his red card at Elland Road.
Left-back Wayne Bridge and defensive midfielder Liam Bridcutt were also rested from the victory in Yorkshire to protect minor knocks but manager Gus Poyet has pledged to field the strongest side possible against Wolves.
Albion could, depending on the results of arch-rivals Crystal Palace at Millwall tomorrow night and at home to Peterborough on Saturday, need to beat Wolves to seal fourth place.
Wolves, meanwhile, have to win, hope Peterborough and Barnsley at Huddersfield both lose and make up a goal difference deficit on Posh to escape successive relegations.
Poyet vowed: "We are not going to try, for any reasons, to take a different approach to the game. We don't want to influence any kind of relegation battles and our best players available will play on Saturday."
