Is it natural for a Brighton fan to be pessimistic

For starters I am the worst. But there has been a lot of negativity over the recent weeks regarding our push for the play offs and how we will fare in them.
True they can be a lottery, but lets look at some facts ( at least to make me feel better)
We have been there or there abouts all season, but hit good form at the right time in a very tricky league, a sign of class and a manager who knows what to do and when to do it.
We play great football, that at times other teams cannot live with.
We have real match winners in Ulloa, Buckley and Spanish Dave.
We have class players, The PIG, Bridge, Upson, Bridcutt and Orlandi.
We have fighters and battlers, Greer, Barnes, El Abd.Hammond,Crofts and Calde
We have strength off the bench and Flair, Vicente, KLL, Bruno
So why do I, and it seems many others think we are going to fail somewhere along the line, on our day we can beat anybody, and I do not think many would want to play us at the moment.
They can try dishing it out, but we are much stronger in that department too.
I admire those that are not pessimistic, but I wonder how much of that is bravado.
So what is your reason for pessimism. Surely you are not worried about being tonked every week in the PL.
Is it the abuse we will get if we fail in the play offs?
Is it the possibility of being knocked out by Palace? (try thinking the other way round)
Is it losing Gus?
I do not see a great deal to worry about, so why am I worried?
We have got to the position I wanted at the start of the season, so why not lets all relax and enjoy it and see what happens.
Fat chance.

Not pessimistic in the slightest what we have archived this year is fantastic if we can go to wembley that will be amazing and if we win well unbelievable so the worst we can do from here is fantastic and that's really not bad

We have done very well this season and can comfortably exist in the Championship, we are better off than QPR, Reading and Wolves, gaining promotion could result in a number of players and even the manager moving on to established Premiership sides,be content in what we have achieved, look at the one time clubs who are in difficult financial situations, a quarter full stadium would be a disaster.

the good thing as well is Gus has won at wembley and played in the massive games - he knows what it takes.....and not too long ago either.......this will really help us.

Hither (sometimes Thither)
Surely it's the extremists in either direction that look to begin threads to air their lifting or uncuddleable thoughts. Both ends of the spectrum are a staunch bunch seemingly eternally trapped in merriment, dismay, or uncomical spite.

ps
i'm not the most euphoric in everyday life, but with the Albion i rarely have the urge to groan. They're giving me so much, over the last few years in particular, and i'm grateful for it whatever the price.
