aol email advice please

someone spammed my email account and as a result AOL suspended it and says I need to change my password.

I have answered the two security questions correctly many times changing to capitals, lower case etc but it keeps locking me out saying they are wrong.

The only contact they give is a US East Coast telephone number.

Any suggestions?

It sounds like someone has comprimised your account and locked you out

I had an e-mail from Yahoo telling me someone had accessed my e-mail account using my password from an Indian registered mobile this morning. Solution - cancelled the e-mail account.

i don't think i've heard anyone mention AOL for about 4 years now....didn't realise they still existed

I heard an American mention it on the news last week when talking about the Boston bombings and I thought exactly the same.
