For your pound in 83' you could buy......20 cigarettes....6lb of frozen chicken....3 loaves of bread....2.77 litres of petrol...two pints of bitter 83'. A few were spent on our cup final that year.....
For your pound these days you can get an hour in a car park (in some places)....one bottle of water.....five trips to a station loo....3 tins of diet coke from Poundland.....0.27 of a litre of petrol.
Never enough of them around these days....they reckon that there is nearly 3 million forgeries......
