The St Leonards man is 6-3 up against four-time champion John Higgins, 10 the target for victory and he resumes in about 15 mins - on the BBC Sport site as well as TV.

Would be his biggest ever win at World Championships, only ever won twice before at Crucible.

Come on Mark, played really well in yesterday's first session but Higgins is proven course and distance man on the biggest stage.

He shares the first four frames and will take sharing frames all day long. Leads 8-5, two away from victory. 11th frame the big one, went 7-4 instead of 6-5 from 57-0 down, nicking it on the black.

Brilliant stuff, Davis wins 10-6 against a legend of the sport (albeit one with a slightly tainted reputation thanks to his ban and ill-fated trip to Kiev).

Sussex man calls it the best win of his 22-year career, amazing that in all that time this is only his third win at Crucible, and has never gone past last 16 where he is now.

One more win (very winnable against Bingham or Baird)...and it could be the Rocket in the quarter-finals.
