Gus Poyet hopes to be smiling later today
Albion boss Gus Poyet has urged his play-off chasers to get ahead against Blackpool at The Amex today.
The Seagulls have not lost this season once in front or won from behind.
Poyet believes the opening goal will be more crucial than ever against a Blackpool side less cavalier with Paul Ince in charge than they were under Ian Holloway.
Poyet said: “It’s going to be a totally new Blackpool for the fans. Don’t expect the Ian Holloway team, probably the opposite in terms of it’s going to be a close game.
“In the last five or six games they have played a maximum of one goal has been scored. They are very organised, difficult to beat.
“As soon as they lose the ball they are going to get their shape. They are not going to be open so the first goal will be very, very important.
“It’s going to be tough, it’s going to be tight, one of those games where you cannot give anything away and as soon as you get a chance you need to score to make the difference.”
Season tickets for the 2013-14 campaign go on general sale today from 5pm in The Amex store or online, with Albion on course for a record figure of well over 22,000.
Seats are available from £45.50 per month for adults down to £7 per month for under-tens, although prices will rise by unspecified amounts if the Seagulls are promoted to the Premier League.
